The University purchased this property as a means of introducing new allied health curricula for prospective students. The multi-disciplined program consists of an Optometry Clinic and Optical Store, with associated classrooms and laboratories, a Sonography teaching clinic and laboratory, a Dental Hygiene clinic and teaching facility complete with 12 operatories, x-ray and interpretation center and materials laboratory, a 15 station Physical Therapy laboratory and classroom, a 16 station Physician’s Assistant teach laboratory and classroom, ELA program classrooms, student areas including a food cafe, collaborative student lounge and quiet study areas. Nine stories of previous hotel suites and faculty offices were transformed into single occupancy dorm rooms and study spaces.

The existing site was originally constructed as a hotel, meeting and banquet facility. The entire structure was converted, retrofitted, and repurposed for a variety of co-functional university functions. The final product acts as a micro-campus.
