An old post and beam building was renovated to serve as a new dental practice with 14 operatories, sterilization lab, offices, break room, conference space and an interconnecting stair. As an homage to the existing post and beam design vocabulary, KSID maintained the exposed beams and wood ceilings where possible and introduced Edison bulbs hanging from the wood beams in the operatories. The existing skylights brighten the interior spaces with natural light. Additionally, a semi-detached, new building will serve as tenant space or future expansion for the practice.
The three story structure is intended to serve three purposes: the main floor houses a dental practice, the upper level is home to Beyond Dental Health’s headquarters, and the lower level houses tenant spaces.
