School of Theology Community Center

Boston, MA

7,000 sf

Boston University’s School of Theology recognized the need for providing faculty and students a comfortable and inviting space to convene and hold a variety of events. With limited space available, KSID designed a flexible, multi-purpose room to accommodate large and small events. Indirect, pendant lighting allowed for higher, brightly lit ceilings disavowing the room’s basement level location. Additional scope of work included student study areas, faculty offices, restrooms, and public corridors.

The client requested that the project include sustainable practices and materials. KSID’s design and collaboration with the general contractor earned the project a LEED Gold Certification.
