KSID worked with our client to design his new emergency veterinary clinic in the corner unit of a strip mall building in Wareham. There is a large reception area, four exam rooms, treatment, surgery, xray and special procedures rooms. In addition there is a kennel room, patient and staff bathrooms, offices and a small break room. KSID designed a treatment tree which incorporates, storage for oxygen and equipment, lighting and support of the flip-top exam table. The reception area features a 300 lb. slatted wood canopy above the reception desk with a thin round pendant light suspended through the canopy. Behind the desk is a moss wall feature that requires no maintenance, removes toxins from the air and helps with acoustics.
Bathrooms are often considered utilitarian spaces and not much thought is given to them. We added a simple black and white dog print wallcovering to honor (some of) the patients and we think it packs a budget-conscious punch!
